Nebraska men’s tennis kicked off a big conference weekend with an upset victory against #17 Michigan on Friday but couldn’t repeat the heroics on Sunday, losing to #36 Michigan State.
This is the first time Nebraska has beaten a top-20 opponent since 2019, adding to the impressive start to the season for Peter Kobelt’s team. Nebraska is ranked #49 in the nation, which will go a long way toward helping improve that ranking to qualify for the all-important NCAA tournament.
Each singles match counts for one point, and the winner of two of the three doubles matches counts for one point.
