This one started off kind of auspiciously for both teams. Wesley Yates started off with 6 points for USC, while Juwan Gary had the first 6 for Nebraska. Both teams were cold early from deep, with USC missing its first 3 attempts, while Nebraska missed its first 4. Connor Essegian quickly squashed that as he hit 2 quick 3s, but the Huskers still trailed early. Omaha native Saint Thomas had 6 early points for USC.
