There was pretty decent flow in the opening minutes, as Brice Williams did his best to get off to a good start. Williams had 6 of Nebraska’s first 12 points. Jordan Burks had 5 of the first 7 for Georgetown. Things would start to get a bit sloppy for Nebraska as they would commit 5 turnovers in just over 4 minutes.
Both Georgetown and Nebraska then went on nearly overlapping 3-minute scoring droughts, leading to some brick laying that construction guys would be proud of. The Huskers would snap out of its funk and go on a 7-0 run to take a 23-15 lead just past the halfway point.
