Nebraska Goes Big, Blowing Out Maryland 21-5

After evening the series yesterday with a 7-2 win, Bolt’s Boys looked forward to Championship Sunday and grabbing another series win, this time over the Maryland Terrapins. They fired out of the blocks, putting six runs on the scoreboard in the first inning and didn’t look back.

To a large extent, Terrapin pitchers gifted the Cornhuskers from the get-go. Andrew Johnson, the lefty starter for Maryland walked the first three Nebraska batters to start the game, and then served up a pitch right down the middle for Gabe Swansen to drive out of the ball park for yet another grand slam this season.
