By now, most Nebraska football fans have heard that York defensive lineman Masry Mapieu appears unlikely to be signing with the Huskers on Wednesday. Since the news broke, there have been a few fans that have taken things a bit harder than they should.
Talk of Mapieu likely heading to a junior college also had some Husker fans going over the line when talking about him. That prompted York Schools Superintendent Mike Lukas to take to Twitter to defend his student.
Lukas issued a message that Cornhusker fans should not only take to heart when it comes to Mapieu but other players the team is recruiting and will be recruiting in the future.
