According to Huskers Illustrated, linebacker commitment Avery Roberts has signed his financial aid paperwork with Nebraska.
While Roberts does need to sign his National Letter of Intent and actually make it to campus, he’s scheduled to enroll in January and participate in spring practice.
This is a big development as Roberts is one of the best prospects currently committed to Nebraska right now.
With the departure of Michael Rose-Ivey and Josh Banderas, it’s quite possible that Roberts could battle the likes of redshirt freshman Greg Simmons for a starting spot.
