Attrition hit the Nebraska football program again on Monday morning. Senior wide receiver Keyan Williams announced he had received his release from the football program and will be pursuing graduate transfer options.
The announcement means that Williams would be able to play right away for whoever he transfers to. Williams transferred from Fresno State a few years back after his father Keith Williams was hired as the wide receivers’ coach.
Injuries and NCAA rules severely limited the action Williams was able to see as a Cornhusker. After sitting out the 2016 season, he made just one catch last year, though it did go for 19 yards.
