Nebraska football player Ben Miles announced he was planning on transferring Wednesday evening. The announcement was hardly a surprise given the current state of affairs with the Cornhuskers.
Miles came to Lincoln to play fullback in Mike Riley’s pro-style offense. Not only was Miles not really a fit for Scott Frost’s spread offense, there literally was not a spot for him.
The new offense will run almost exclusively without a fullback in the formation. That little tidbit, by the way is something Husker fans need to come to grips with.
