Perhaps because Tanner Lee is no longer a member of the Nebraska football team, the Husker coaching staff has offered quarterback James Foster II a scholarship. The Cornhuskers already have one quarterback commit in this class in the form of Adrian Martinez.
It appears Scott Frost and company are working overtime to reshape the quarterback position in Lincoln. Under Mike Riley, Tanner Lee was the first of what had been a shift towards a drop-back passer.
That shift has now been put in reverse, as Frost’s offense will run a version of the spread and will rely on mobile quarterbacks who can throw and throw on the run.
