The defensive back, who is rated as a four-star recruit by Rivals, announced the teams that made his latest cut on his Twitter account. The Huskers have a long road to hoe before they can call this one one of theirs considering the competition.
Along with the Nebraska football team, Gates announced Michigan, TCU, Notre Dame, Oregon, UCLA and California as the last teams standing. Cutting the teams down to seven was likely a difficult decision considering the massive number of teams that have been hot after the defensive back.
The Huskers would certainly like to lock this particular recruit down, considering the defensive backfield is a definite position of need for the school.
