If the Nebraska football team plans on going after Joe Burrow, it looks like Ohio State has thrown up a roadblock. Reports are surfacing that the recent OSU grad transfer has been given permission to transfer almost everywhere.
The “almost” in this situation is any team in the Big Ten. According to Sean Callahan of Rivals.com, the Buckeyes have said Burrow cannot transfer in-conference without special permission.
While it’s expected this is mostly as a way to keep Burrow away from Michigan or Michigan State, the rule also includes teams like the Huskers.
Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer isn’t stupid.
