The Nebraska football team made a move for its 2021 class on Wednesday night. The Cornhuskers offered Iowa defensive tackle Griffin Liddle, who announced the scholarship on his official Twitter account.
Because the 2021 class is so far out, it’s hard to know just how anything or anyone is going to shake out. What is clear is that the Huskers are very clearly making sure that when it comes to talented players that are in their backyard, they are going to make sure they have their foot in the door.
This isn’t the same as offering a young in-state prospect, but considering Iowa is right next door to Omaha, it appears Scott Frost and company aren’t shy about crossing the border.
