The Huskers gave up their bye week in order to ensure they get to play at least 12 games in 2018.
Nebraska has finalized an agreement to play Bethune-Cookman University on Oct. 27 at Memorial Stadium to fill an opening on the 2018 football schedule. The contest will replace the Huskers’ Sept. 1 game against Akron which was cancelled due to severe storms in Lincoln. Based on the original schedule released by the Wildcats, October 27 was an open week for them.
Bethune-Cookman plays in the Football Championship Subdivision and owns a 1-2 record in 2018, following a loss at Florida Atlantic last Saturday.
