When the clock at Kinnick Stadium stuck triple zero, it was another tough result for the Nebraska football team. Iowa had 31 points on the final scoreboard, while the Big Red only had 28.
For much of the game, it seemed like Nebraska football was on the verge of getting blown out. Iowa was bigger, stronger and tougher. Yet, the Huskers never quit and they never stopped battling.
The offense was especially impressive, particularly late in the game. Adrian Martinez engineered two touchdown drives and a two-point conversion to tie things up at 28-28. But then, Iowa found a way to move down the field, convert a fourth-and-eight and kick a game-winning field goal.
