Over the last few weeks, you could see Nebraska football getting better and better. Rock bottom was the 56-10 shellacking at the hands of Michigan — since then, Nebraska has been a different team.
There have still been some lopsided losses, most notably to Purdue and Wisconsin. But beyond that, there was a close loss at Northwestern, wins over Minnesota and Bethune-Cookman and Saturday, a five-point loss at Ohio State.
Yes, the Huskers lost the game, no one is arguing that. But it was still the best Nebraska football had played against Ohio State since 2011.
