Arizona State scored in each of the first four innings as they cruised past Nebraska 15-6 in the series opener Friday night. Matt Waldron lasted only four innings, while the Husker offense could not get going until late.
The Sun Devils took an early lead with a solo home run off the bat of Trevor Hauver. After the solo home run, Waldron was able to get the next three batters in order.
After going scoreless in the bottom of the first, Nebraska allowed a pair of runs in the second. A two out, two run single allowed the ASU lead to grow to 3-0.
