The Nebraska Cornhuskers are mourning their own loss this week as Bob “The Boomer” brown passed away this weekend. That and more in today’s news.
There have been few Nebraksa Cornhuskers players that have the Hall of Fame credentials that Bob Brown had.
Brown is both a College Football and Pro Football Hall of Fame entry. He is also one of three NU football players to have their numbers permanently retired. And he was the Nebraska Cornhuskers’ first Black All-American. When he passed away, he was 81 years old.
It appears he had been spending time at a rehabilitation center after suffering a stroke in April.
