Nebraska continues to climb up the national recruiting rankings after last night’s committment from four-star safety Cam’ron Jones. The Mansfield, Texas native is a consensus four-star recruit and currently ranks as the 23rd best safety available in the 2018 class, according to the 247Sports composite.

Jones was previously committed to UCLA, but decided to re-open his recruitment in early December after former UCLA head coach Jim Mora Jr was fired. Jones was also considering Baylor and Ole Miss, but his two recruiting trips to Lincoln over the past six weeks obviously made a huge impression.

“I’ve built a relationship with coach Frost and everybody there,” Jones explained during an interview with Inside High School Sports, which is aired on the NBC affiliate in Fort Worth.
