Nebraska Bowling Wins National Title Over Arkansas State

Nebraska bowling beat Arkansas State 4-1 in a best-of-seven games NCAA Championship match tonight. This is Nebraska’s sixth NCAA national title in bowling, their first since 2015.

It’s also the first national title for head coach Paul Klempa, who took over for Nebraska legend Bill Straub. And a great big national title for Assistant Coach Shannon Pluhowsky, who joined the program when Klempa became head coach.

Arkansas State won the first game 224-217. Nebraska came back, winning the next four, 235-194, 201-190, 179-162, and 198-170.

Game 5 was close, with the Red Wolves leading early.
