In a blow to Nebraska, Rienk Mast and Fred Hoiberg announce that the third team all-conference performer will miss the entire 2024-205 season. He plans on coming back to play for Nebraska in the 2025-2026 season.
Last season, Mast averaged 12.3 points per game and led the team in both rebounds and assists.
Nebraska and Fred Hoiberg were already tasted with replacing a lot of outgoing talent and skill and now that will be even more difficult with the loss of one of the best players from last season’s NCAA tournament team.
Unfortuantely, Mast will still count toward next season’s scholarship numbers.
