Nebraska Basketball picked up a commitment to close out the year. Forward Lat Mayen announced that he would join the basketball program after he completes playing for Chipola Junion College.
Mayen has an interesting path to Nebraska. He played with TCU last season but suffered a knee injury that derailed him for the rest of the 2018-19 campaign. He played in 17 games, and his best game came against West Virginia. In that contest, he recorded a career-high 12 points and six rebounds.
For the 2019-20 season, he is averaging 9.3 points per contest in 15 games played with Chipola.
