I ate some humble pie last night. When the NIT field was announced, I was a little dismayed that Nebraska did not it. I mean, of course. A Nebraska team that was slotted to make the NCAA tournament a month ago ends up not even qualifying for the NIT.
Well then I was informed that Nebraska was actually locked in on a new postseason tournament called “The Crown” which is a tournament attempting to replace the NIT as the second best thing since sliced bread after the NCAA tournament.
Well Nebraska is matched up against Bobby Hurley and Arizona State.
