After months of speculation and for some, years of frustration, the tenure of Tim Miles as the head coach of Nebraska basketball finally ended Tuesday, officially this time.
The move was expected but following the Huskers loss to TCU in the NIT Sunday night, it seemed like it was only going to be a matter of time before Miles was axed and athletic director Bill Moos sent out the official word that Nebraska basketball would indeed be searching for a new head coach.
Here is what Moos had to say about Miles via his announcement:
“Tim Miles is a good basketball coach who has put his heart, soul and energy into the Nebraska men’s basketball program over the past seven years,” Moos said.
