A familiar face may be coming back to Lincoln. Southern Mississippi head basketball coach Doc Sadler announced his resignation on Thursday, leaving open the possibility that he could join the Nebraska Basketball coaching staff. According to a report from Brian Christopherson of 247Sports, Sadler was planning to meet Thursday morning with his Southern Mississippi athletic director Jeremy McClain to discuss his future with the program.
Sadler had an interesting six-year career with Nebraska. He would lead them to winning seasons in all but two of the years he coached there. With three NIT appearances, he was never able to reach the grand spectacle of NCAA postseason play.
