It wasn’t always pretty and the opposing head coach wasn’t happy about the way the game ended, but for the Nebraska basketball team, it didn’t matter. A win was a win.
Thanks to a pair of free throws in the final seconds by James Palmer, Nebraska escaped The Vault with a 62-61 win over the Golden Gophers and while the win certainly won’t save the Huskers season or anything like that, it certainly puts them in a lot better position, both in the Big Ten and for the postseason.
The game started out poorly for the Huskers, who fell down 10-3 in the first half, however, the Huskers rallied and took their first lead at 22-21 before going into the half trailing by one, 31-30.
