With all the rough weather in Nebraska over the weekend, Nebraska and Iowa had to get creative to try and get their baseball series in. Friday, they were able to get in the game in the aftermath of the storm that won’t soon be forgotten. Then Saturday, the teams got in the majority of game 2 before lightning and rain intervened. So the teams finished up game 2 on Sunday (after yet another lengthy weather delay), before finishing up the final game 45 minutes later.
Completion of Game 2
The teams had set a goal of starting the remainder of the 2nd game of the series at 11am, but the constant rain and lightning didn’t allow them to actually take the field until around 3pm.
