What looked to be a perfect night for baseball turned into anything but for Nebraska. The dreary weather had given way to sunshine for the first time all day right before warmups started. The wind was blowing out, making this huge park play a little more standard. But as quickly as the storms that delayed the start of the game 6 hours had popped up on the Omaha area earlier in the day, Ohio State rained balls all over the NU defense.
Nebraska went with their most rested pitcher, Jackson Brockett, while Ohio State countered with their ace on short rest.
