It was a tale of two games.
Who would have thought that when the two lowest scoring teams in the Big Ten came to play that we would see the scoreboard light up early? Nebraska has struggled on offense mightily for the majority of the first half of the season, and yet, Rutgers was behind them in most categories in the Big Ten, and by a lot in some cases.
That didn’t seem to matter to either team as Rutgers got off to a fast start in the top of the first. Rutgers doesn’t hit for power, save for 2 players, so per usual they did all their damage with singles.
