Nebraska goes on the road, notches their 30th victory and comes away with a series win against the #24 ranked Michigan State Spartans.
The rubber match of this important series for Nebraska included a few lineup changes. Scott Schreiber was still out after getting hit on the wrist by a pitch in Game 1. He was replaced at first base by Ben Miller. Jake Meyers took the mound and was designated hitter (a role often occupied by Ben Miller). Cole Klemke took over for Meyers in right field. Steven Reveles hit in the leadoff spot that has been occupied by Ryan Boldt most of the season.
