On a day where Nebraska needed to complete a sweep to have a chance at a regular season Big Ten title, Michigan State jumped out to an early lead on their Senior Day and never looked back. The Spartans had been eliminated from postseason play earlier in the weekend, and therefore had nothing of substance to play for on Saturday, but that didn’t stop their senior laden lineup from coming alive in their final game together.
Nebraska turned to Jackson Brockett for another start, coming off 3 straight solid starts including the no-hitter. He never got comfortable today though, giving up 2 doubles and a hit batter in the first inning, allowing 2 runs.
