Welcome, welcome, welcome! It’s February, which means baseball season is almost upon us! In fact, we are down to single digit number of sleeps until Nebraska Baseball takes the field on Valentines Day.
The Huskers are as close as they’ve been to realizing their goal of hosting a regional, a huge step to a return visit to Omaha. RPI is the new supreme metric being looked at by the selection committee, with strength of schedule a huge piece of it. Last season’s RPI of 28 was good, but not good enough. Enter the toughest schedule Nebraska has put together, maybe ever, but certainly since arriving in the Big Ten.
