The Huskers enter the annual Black Friday Hawkeyes game in Iowa City with bowl eligibility assured, no monkey on their back and one game of offensive flow and continuity under their belts thanks to new offensive coordinator, Dana Holgorsen.
The last time they rolled into Iowa City with no monkey on their back - albeit for a different reason; a losing record was already assured - they pulled out a 24-17 victory. They did it by roaring to a 24-0 lead, then, as they have tended to do since 2018, shutting down their offense and trying to run out 30 minutes of clock.
