Nebraska 10th In Basketball Attendance, Creighton 6th

The NCAA released basketball attendance figures today, with Nebraska finishing 10th in the nation in average attendance, with 15,569 fans per game for a total attendance of 249,101 fans over 16 games.

The Big Ten led the nation in average attendance for the 39th consecutive season with 12,781 fans per game. 11 teams from the Big Ten averaged more than 10,000 fans per game.

Now for the bad news.

Smelly old Creighton was sixth in average attendance with 17,048 fans per game. The Blue Jays totaled 289,808 fans over 17 games.

Still, the fact that Nebraska placed two teams in the top 10 in attendance - what does it say about the status of basketball in the state?
