The Husker women's gymnastics team tied a season-high on the balance beam to springboard themselves in Friday's first national semifinal in St. Louis to return to the Super Six team finals.
No. 7 Nebraska finished with a 197.0125, its third highest total of the season, to finish third to return to the Super Six team finals for the first time since 2014.
Taylor Houchin and Grace Williams had matching scores of 9.8875 to lead the way, as no Husker beam competitor posted anything lower than a 9.8375 for a 49.3750 total.
The beam performance helped offset a slightly slow start of 49.
