Kansas made history just by making the NCAA Tournament regional final, then upset second-ranked Southern California to reach the NCAA Final Four for the first time.
Now the Jayhawks will play Nebraska in the national semifinals Thursday.
Kansas has never defeated Nebraska in volleyball, but the teams have not played since 2010, when the Jayhawks were in the middle of the pack in the Big 12 Conference, and not making deep runs in the tournament.
Kansas is seeded ninth in the tournament, and defeated Furman, Missouri, Loyola Marymount and USC to get to Omaha.
“It’s the old Big Eight (Conference), so Coach (Tom) Osborne will be happy.
