Nebraska survived a first-set scare, and parts of a few other sets, too, to defeat Harvard in the first round of the NCAA volleyball tournament on Friday at the Devaney Sports Center.
Harvard won the first set, but Nebraska won the next three for a 22-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-19 victory.
Nebraska has won 11 straight matches, its longest winning streak since 2011. The Huskers will play Wichita State in the second round at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Kadie Rolfzen led the Huskers with 15 kills on .278 hitting. Freshman Mikaela Foecke added 12 kills. Middle blockers Cecilia Hall and Amber Rolfzen had 10 kills apiece.
