OMAHA — With outside hitter Mikaela Foecke blistering the Texas defense with 19 kills and a .385 hitting efficiency, the Nebraska volleyball team’s middle blockers found things wide-open when Husker setter Kelly Hunter sent the ball their way Saturday.
Junior Amber Rolfzen continued to embrace her move to the middle with 10 kills (.625 hitting efficiency) and four ace blocks, while senior Cecilia Hall was just as effective, with seven kills (.500 hitting efficiency) and three ace blocks in Nebraska’s sweep of Texas at CenturyLink Center Omaha.
“Mikaela just pulled their block away, and that made it easy to get kills,” said Hall, a 6-foot-3 senior from Linkoping, Sweden.
