OMAHA — Until Thursday night, the largest crowd Texas’ volleyball team played in front of this season was the 4,273 fans that came to the Longhorns’ five-set regional final win at home over Florida last week.
The bigger stage, performing before a sold-out CenturyLink Center NCAA semifinal record crowd of 17,551, didn’t faze Longhorn freshman Yaazie Bedart-Ghani at all.
The 6-foot-4 right side put down 15 kill and hit .583 to complement the 1-2 punch of outside hitters Amy Neal and Paulina Prieto Cerame and lead No. 3 Texas to a 26-24, 27-25, 23-25, 25-21 win over No.
