OMAHA -- Maggie Anderson had no expectations when she decided to walk on to the Kansas volleyball team during her senior year at Lincoln Southwest High School.
Three years later she’s about to step foot onto one of the biggest stages in volleyball as a Jayhawk scholarship player with a key role, when Kansas faces Nebraska on Thursday in the national semifinals at CenturyLink Center Omaha.
"This is just mind-blowing,” Anderson said. “Thinking, coming to Kansas that I was probably just going to be a supportive role on the team and being OK with that.
"And then receiving a scholarship.
