The Nebraska women's gymnastics team needed two virtuoso balance beam routines to clinch a spot in nationals, and all the Husker juniors did was close Saturday's NCAA Lincoln Regional with scores of 9.90 and 9.95, respectively, to give Nebraska a second-place finish ahead of Boise State.
No. 14 Nebraska finished with a 196.625 total to No. 11 Boise State's 196.150. No. 2 LSU ran away with the regional title with a 197.450 total. NU and Nebraska advance to the NCAA Championships in St. Louis.
Breen won the beam and Williams was third. Husker freshman Taylor Houchin was third in the all-around.
