OMAHA — Nebraska volleyball coach John Cook was really able to dig into preparing for Kansas on Monday evening, after getting film from the Jayhawks’ matches.
The fifth-ranked Huskers will play No. 9 Kansas in Thursday’s national semifinals.
Cook said after studying the Jayhawks he can see why they got to Omaha.
The Jayhawks had two players named first-team All-Americans on Wednesday, which was one more than Nebraska had on the first team.
Sophomore right-side hitter Kelsie Payne and sophomore setter Ainise Havili each earned first-team honors.
“Right there shows you they've got talent,” Cook said.
