Outside hitter Adanna Rollins had 17 kills, and middle blocker Taylor Morgan had 13 kills on .500 hitting to lead fifth-ranked Minnesota to a 25-20, 23-25, 25-14, 25-21 win against No. 3 Nebraska on Saturday evening at the Devaney Sports Center.
Nebraska’s 14-match winning streak is done, and Minnesota broke the first-place tie at the top of the Big Ten standings and now leads the league with a 6-0 record.
Minnesota crushed the Huskers in the third set to take a 2-1 match lead. The Gophers had another good start to the fourth set. Nebraska got what had been a seven-point deficit down to three points twice, before the Gophers finished off the match.
