The No. 21 Nebraska women’s tennis team may have seen it’s 12-match winning streak snapped by Michigan State on Friday night at the Dillon Tennis Center, but the 4-2 loss certainly didn’t break Husker coach Scott Jacobson’s confidence in his team this season.
“All of our kids have elevated their games from a year ago, and adding Brianna (Lashway) has been a huge boost,” said Jacobson, whose 12-3 Huskers were coming off a 4-3 win at then-No. 19 Ohio State on March 7 in the conference opener.
“They’ve been a really good group to coach, they care about each other and compete really hard for each other,” Jacobson added.
