East Lansing, MI- It started out as a disaster, and it was a disaster. Facing a 7-19 Michigan State team who had one conference win, Nebraska was steamrolled. Luis Alvardao had a rough first inning, and the bullpen was a dumpster fire.
Senior starter Alvarado allowed five runs in the first inning. None of the five runs were earned, as two errors contributed to a big inning for the Spartans.
After a walk to Justin Antoncic started the Spartans first, two errors allowed the Spartans to load the bases. Luis got a big strikeout for the first out before Ryan King singled to score two runs.
