Michigan rallies late to down NU women's tennis team

A dominant start for the No. 21 Nebraska women’s tennis team didn’t translate into a desirable finish against No. 34 Michigan Sunday at Dillon Tennis Center.

The Huskers captured the doubles point, only to see Michigan win four of the six singles matches and claim a 4-3 road victory.

It was the opposite of what happened Friday to the Huskers (12-4 overall, 1-2 in the Big 10) when they were upset by unranked Michigan State 4-2. The Spartans won the doubles point, and the Huskers were unable to climb out of that hole in singles play.

The Wolverines, however, responded with straight set victories from Kate Fahey, Dhiara Lommer and Brienne Minor in the top three singles spots and Bella Lorenzini at No.
