Men's hoops: Miles still molding freshman talent

Nebraska men’s basketball fans questioning the level of competition for the brunt of the home nonconference schedule may need a reminder of fourth-year coach Tim Miles’ youth movement.

The Huskers, with only five returning players who saw time last season, are among the nation’s youngest teams. NU's seven true freshmen, including two walk-ons, tie for fourth-most nationally.

So while games such as Nebraska’s 97-51 rout of Mississippi Valley State in the season opener and Sunday's 92-65 lopsided victory against Southeastern Louisiana may not be the most enticing for spectators, you won’t hear apologies from Miles, who’s still molding his young group and instilling confidence.
