In his first start in nearly two years, Jake McSteen threw five shutout innings in helping the Nebraska baseball team to an 8-3 win against Washington State on Saturday in Tempe, Arizona.
McSteen, a junior left-hander, struck out four and allowed only two hits while throwing 90 pitches against the Cougars.
Wilkening's two-run double to right center drove in the fourth and fifth runs of the inning, pushing the Husker lead to 8-0.
