Any of these words, or a combination thereof, could perfectly describe Nebraska sophomore distance runner George Kusche.
The one word anybody who's known or interacted with Kusche that would seem the least fitting?
Nervous.
Yet that's the exact word Kusche used to describe how he felt before Saturday's 3,000-meter indoor run at the annual Frank Sevigne Invitational, and he's not afraid to admit so.
Why would the same person, who boldly predicted three days earlier he would set a school record in the event, feel nervous?
"Well, you know, I'm a human being," Kusche said, "and human beings get nervous.
