The curtain came up on Scott Frost's Nebraska football program Saturday at Memorial Stadium, and a record crowd got a good long look at the offensive system brought here to return the Huskers to prominence.
The trio of Nebraska quarterbacks competing for the starting job this fall -- freshman Adrian Martinez, redshirt freshman Tristan Gebbia and sophomore walk-on Andrew Bunch each flashed at times, but Martinez stole the show in the first half.
The early enrollee from Fresno, California drove the Red team, winners by a final count of 49-9 over the White, to three scoring drives in the opening 30 minutes.
