Just like last December, it didn't take long for the program to show results.
Lincoln Southwest athlete Caden McCormack announced Thursday morning that he's walking on with Nebraska.
McCormack racked up 149 tackles (15 for loss) in 10 games for the Silver Hawks and also rushed for 455 yards (6.3 per carry) and four touchdowns.
McCormack turned heads and made himself known to the Nebraska coaching staff this summer at a Friday Night Lights camp, running hand-timed 40-yard dash times in sub-4.6 seconds while checking in at a sturdy 6-foot-1 and 214 pounds.
McCormack is the ninth known walk-on in the Huskers' 2019 class, which eventually is expected to be somewhere between 20-25 strong.
